Take Action: Here’s How

Let’s face facts… Nothing happens until you take action.  The problem is getting started on your action plan. Here are 7 ways to grow the action habit.

7 Ways to Grow the Action Habit

1. Don’t wait until conditions are perfect – If you’re waiting to start until conditions are perfect, you probably never will. There will always be something that isn’t quite right. Either the timing is off, the market is down, or there’s too much competition. In the real world there is no perfect time to start. You have to take action and deal with problems as they arise. The best time to start was last year. The second best time is right now.

2. Be a doer – Practice doing things rather than thinking about them… Do you want to start exercising?   Do you have a great idea to pitch?   Do it today. The longer an idea sits in your head without being acted on, the weaker it becomes. After a few days the details gets hazy. After a week it’s forgotten completely. By becoming a doer you’ll get more done and stimulate new ideas in the process.

3. Remember that ideas alone don’t bring success – Ideas are important, but they’re only valuable after they’ve been implemented. One average idea that’s been put into action is more valuable than a dozen brilliant ideas that you’re saving for “some other day” or the “right opportunity”. If you have an idea the you really believe in, do something about it. Unless you take action it will never go anywhere.

4. Use action to cure fear – Have you ever noticed that the most difficult part of public speaking is waiting for your turn to speak? Even professional speakers and actors experience pre-performance anxiety. Once they get started the fear disappears. Action is the best cure for fear. The most difficult time to take action is the very first time. After the ball is rolling, you’ll build confidence and things will keep getting easier. Kill fear by taking action and build on that confidence.

5. Start your creative engine mechanically – One of the biggest misconceptions about creative work is that it can only be done when inspiration strikes. If you wait for inspiration to slap you in the face, your work sessions will be few and far between. Instead of waiting, start your creative motor mechanically. If you need to write something, force yourself to sit down and write. Put pen to paper. Brainstorm. Doodle. By moving your hands you’ll stimulate the flow of ideas and inspire yourself.

6. Live in the present – Focus on what you can do in the present moment. Don’t worry about what you should have done last week or what you might be able to do tomorrow. The only time you can affect is the present. If you speculate too much about the past or the future you won’t get anything done. Tomorrow or next week frequently turns into never.

7. Get down to business immediately – It’s common practice for people to socialize and make small talk at the beginning of meetings. The same is true for individual workers. How often do you check email or RSS feeds before doing any real work? These distractions will cost you serious time if you don’t bypass them and get down to business immediately. By becoming someone who gets to the point you’ll be more productive and people will look to you as a leader.

It takes courage to take action without instructions from the person in charge. Perhaps that’s why initiative is a rare quality that’s coveted by managers and executives everywhere. Seize the initiative. When you have a good idea, start implementing it without being told. Once people see you’re serious about getting things done they’ll want to join in. The people at the top don’t have anyone telling them what to do. If you want to join them, you should get used to acting independently

Why is social media marketing important to your business?? Well, Imagine making a friend with someone at an event and you decide to visit them for the first time or they decide to visit you for the first time in your home.

He or she comfortably finds their way to your living room and sits on the most comfortable sofa and puts there feet on one of the coffee tables. How do you feel?

Invaded, disrespected, display of inappropriate behavior, and all those words that you can think of.

Unfortunately that is the case in many social media circles today.

Social networking and social media we are all enjoying today is a place to connect and make new friends while professionally finding proper ways to promote your products or services in a way that does not offend others or be seen as overly aggressive.

In any business, there are ways to do things right.

Below are a few right steps to start a business that I have come to learn and found effective:

1. Select a niche and study them to know them well so that they will trust you and believe you have their interest at heart.

2.Set up systems that support your business well so you can have control over your business.

3. Select the right marketing strategies that get your message to the right audiences and …

4. Establish yourself as a respected expert and authority person in your industry.

These are just a few that can set you on the right path to business success.

In the same way, social media is a place to socialize and make friends with people all over the world. You also have the chance in social media to achieve all the above if you work it the right way.

Some practical ways you can achieve this :

1.By making friends genuinely and not just to get them signed up for the next money making opportunity.

2. Being always willing to help rather than always wanting help.

3. Become a thoughtful leader by freely giving out information that you believe your friends can benefit from.

4.Show respect to your friends and people’s personal space online.

These might sound very obvious but you wonder how many people still fall short in these “obvious” ways and create the kind of impressions that they did not mean to create.

No one is perfect but if we take the conscious effort to treat people with respect and consideration we are more likely to get them to support us even without asking.

So are you doing things right in your business and in your social networking efforts?

I found this informtion very true and helpful. It is very important to have people interested in what you are doing. The friendships start and they want to do Business with you.

Personal Development

Personal development is essential for every individual, especially in business.  We’ve been taught to separate our business lives and our personal lives as the two often don’t mix well together.  When doing business, we walk around with an entirely different mentality than we do during our time off, which often leads to differing personalities that simply don’t work interchangeably.  These places are two different worlds, and within them, we turn into two different people.  It doesn’t seem logical to put them together.  That being said, there are certain situations that merit a reason to mix personal and business life, and one such instance rests in the matter of personal development.

Through personal development, you create a better place for yourself to be, which often transcends to a better attitude and more success overall.  While this is often a process that occurs exclusively out of the office, there is a great need to merge new developments into a business environment so that you can access those tools for success in both your business and in your personal life.  Two people can have the same skills, so there’s no reason to say that your two different lifestyles can’t share in the same development.  In fact, personal improvement is actually one of the best ways to start seeing success in the business world because you take a lot of the mental struggles away.  That frees your mind for success.

But what is personal development?  Well, that term entails the process of mentally preparing yourself to achieve greater things.  This may be done by something as simple as looking at an event from the past and acknowledging your mistakes, or it can go as far as completely adjusting your outlook on life.  It just depends on how much development you really need.  There’s always room to make yourself better though, and an attempt at self improvement can vastly impact the success of your business and personal life alike.  You just have to know what to work on first.

The easiest thing to do to really achieve personal development is to start setting goals for yourself to reach.  They can be as simple or complex as you need them to be.  Just make them things that you can see yourself actually achieving.  Once you’ve found success, then set another goal, and another, and another until the cycle leads you to becoming the successful person that you really want to be.  As long as you keep reaching higher, you’ll keep improving along the way.

Discover Your Message

written by Michael Force.

Frequently in Internet marketing we talk about doing things fast.

Responding to the next marketing trend, trying the latest technology, keeping up with changes to product lines, services, and other companies.

We’re all about change and responding to change.

But there is one thing about your Internet marketing business that shouldn’t change very fast or very frequently at all.

That thing is your central sales message.

If you’ve done it right the first time, that message should be good for at least 10 years.

No, I’m not kidding. Yes, I know how much everything else is likely to change in the next 5 years, let alone 10.

Let me use myself and my business as an example.

First I was successful as a multi-level marketer. Then I went on to even greater success with Internet marketing.

Yes, those are very similar businesses. But I was trying to attract somewhat different prospects to each, so many of my marketing messages changed to reflect that.

But my central sales message? That hasn’t changed a bit.

My central sales message has always been that I solve people’s problems by helping them achieve what they want to achieve in life. In other words, I teach people how to be successful.

That message hasn’t changed because it doesn’t need to. With it I’ve addressed the basic human needs and motivations of my target market.

After all, who doesn’t want to be successful?

Let’s take another example. What’s the central sales message of Oil of Olay?

You don’t even have to think about this one – it helps women look younger as they age.

No matter how many new products Olay introduces, every bit of their marketing says the same thing. “Use this product and you’ll have healthy, youthful-looking skin.”

When you’re crafting your central message, the first thing you want to do is make a list for yourself of the basic human needs your company fills. What bottom-line motivations will bring people to your company?

While you’re thinking about this message remember that you want it to be flexible. My message has carried across to many different marketing businesses. Oil of Olay even has acne-treatment products for more mature women.

What I’m saying here is that your message needs to allow room for the development of your business and your brand.

So, what is the central sales message of your company? What essential human needs are you filling for your customers? What motivates people to seek out your business specifically?

You don’t have to be fancy about this. In fact, it’s better if you aren’t.

Once you have your central sales message make sure it’s integrated in every bit of your marketing. You don’t have to spell it out for people – after all, how does Oil of Olay “tell” people its message? Olay shows commercials featuring obviously mature women who also look fantastic.

Discover your central sales message. Use it consistently. And in 10 years, you probably won’t need to trade it in for another one.

Michael Moseley Recent Comment by Michael Moseley

Great message and to the point.  My central message is Do you want to save money?  Do you want to make money? or Both.

DECIDE HOW TO REACT
It is not what happens to you that counts. It is how you react to what happens to you, especially when you have unexpected problems of any kind.

Here are four things you can do to assure that your attitude is the very best it can be, under all circumstances.

FOCUS ON THE FUTURE

First, whatever challenges you face, focus on the future rather than on the past. Instead of worrying about who did what and who is to blame, focus on where you want to be and what you want to do. Get a clear mental image of your ideal successful future, and then take whatever action you can to begin moving in that direction. Get your mind, your thoughts, and your mental images on the future.

THINK ABOUT THE SOLUTION

Second, whenever you’re faced with a difficulty, focus on the solution rather than on the problem. Think and talk about the ideal solution to the obstacle or setback, rather than wasting time rehashing and reflecting on the problem.

Solutions are inherently positive, whereas problems are inherently negative. The instant that you begin thinking in terms of solutions, you become a positive and constructive human being.

LOOK FOR THE GOOD

Third, assume that something good is hidden within each difficulty or challenge. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, a major proponent of positive thinking, once said, “Whenever God wants to give us a gift, he wraps it up in a problem.” The bigger the gift you have coming, the bigger the problem you will receive. But the wonderful thing is that if you look for the gift, you will always find it.

SEEK THE VALUABLE LESSON

Fourth, assume that whatever situation you are facing at the moment is exactly the right situation you need to ultimately be successful. This situation has been sent to you to help you learn something, to help you become better, to help you expand and grow.

DECIDE TO BE POSITIVE

A Positive Mental Attitude is indispensable to your success. You can be as positive as you want to be if you will simply think about the future, focus on the solution and look for the good. If you do what other successful people do, if you use your mind to exert mental control over the situation, you will be positive and cheerful most of the time. And you will reap the benefits enjoyed by all successful people.

ACTION EXERCISES

Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action:

First, become solution-oriented with every difficulty you face. Make a habit of looking for the answers to your questions, the solutions to your problems.

Second, seek for the valuable lesson in every adversity. Make a list of every idea or insight you can gain from every setback or difficulty.

Third, think on paper. Take some time to write out every detail of the problem, and then take the most logical next step to solve it.

Janis Stenson Recent Comment by Janis Stenson

This is all so very true. If you listen to your inner voice you will find the answer. Look for the solution and move on.

The Right Way To Network

written by Vicki Berry

Being in the moment, making the most of each and every opportunity, is something to which we should all aspire. It is going to help us in life, and in our business.
It will increase our luck, in that we’ll make the most of every opportunity that presents itself, many of which would otherwise go unnoticed.

It will improve our relationships, making them more honest and fulfilling.

Making the most of ourselves is where it begins. Mindfulness and presence requires being in touch with your inner core and integrating that with your every action.

We need to not only recognize our strengths so that we can utilize them to our advantage, but to also recognize the strengths in others, so that we can best help them.

Mindful networking requires being completely authentic, transparent, and empathetic in your relationships.

Being conscious of those around you, listening and reading between the lines for what they need while being honest with yourself and centered with who you are is what facilitates mindful networking.

But honesty with one’s self is sometimes more challenging than we think.

It requires some reflection, self analysis, and getting in touch with our dreams, what will actually fulfill us in life, our ‘why’.

This will be the glue which holds us to our goals when our plans seem to be wavering or require adjustment. It will keep us centered in our actions each and every moment.

Dream Big!

The dream, what really drives our will to succeed, what we want most out of life for ourselves and for our loved ones, will give us the fuel to continue when the going gets tough.

And having this dream deeply embedded in our subconscious mind is the key.

Training your subconscious mind requires filling it constantly and purposefully with positive thoughts and emotions, visions that your dream is real, so that it will become real.

We need to be dreaming night and day, visualizing ourselves in our achievements, and integrating that into the present.

But some people have difficulty with focus in the moment, given the common level of stress and busy schedules we all face.

How can we focus on our long term goals while we are at work, fighting traffic on the way there or on the way to somewhere else we have to be, or juggling the other schedules we have to maintain?

By having your dreams and goals be a part of you, they define the framework by which you operate and take action.

Having presence of mind, an awareness of your inner self at every moment, is really crucial to maintaining the focus on your ‘why’. It is key.

It will have you thinking about how every single thing you do is part of your path to success.

Where you are in the moment is the easiest thing to see, and what is most challenging to really see is where you want to be when your current circumstance is what you don’t want.

What IS important is that you bring your most inner dreams and aspirations into the now, into what you are doing at this moment, while visualizing where you are going.

If you continually project your goals, aspirations and dreams onto your present state, you should be lifted to a new level of consciousness.

You may be in a full time job and/or raising a family while working your network marketing business.

And while you are at work, or juggling your finances or kids’ schedules, your current world has taken over, the one in which you have to control now, and the other side of the day seems far from your mind. But are our goals and dreams on hold?

Have you thought about how something you are experiencing during this day actually correlates to working your business, either in the way of marketing or, in particular, relationships?

Are you really listening to people enough to think about how you may be able to help them?

Laser Focus

If you have internalized your goals, then it will be easy to remain focused on them, and at any given second apply your current situation to those parameters to make the best of both.

Every spare moment you have can be used wisely. Add those up and you may find more available hours per week that you can put to work. Some might say it’s being ‘All In’.

For example, while standing in line at the grocery store you can be thinking about who you need to call next when you get a chance, or what you can write about in your next blog post.

Or you can be listening to training or audio books while you are stuck in traffic.

Or your family might pitch in for cleaning up dinner dishes while you take care of some calls. Or you can have a family meeting about how you need such support. The list goes on.

But mostly, if you are focused on your dreams and how you will be getting there, then the how becomes part of your every moment. It keeps you going, in the game.

Any given situation may present opportunities. Make sure they don’t slip by you unnoticed by being focused on your goals to the degree that you don’t have to think about them.

If your dreams are internalized then they do more than motivate you during difficult times, they drive your actions to the point that you see those opportunities where you may not have before.

And maintain a focus on your primary business activities, as well as on your marketing message. These too are crucial to the success of mindful networking.

Are you really building relationships ? Providing value in your marketing efforts? Creating know-like-and-trust? Have you identified what your target market or primary business activities are ? Do you have a business plan?

Now then, do you think it might be the time to regroup, focus, and internalize your goals and dreams so that you become more mindful and present in your activities and in your networking?

This is worded so very well so any one can understand. It is all so very true that we do have to take time to do the important things. We can rea rrange our schedule so it all will fit in at the proper time.

This is really great information to overcome a problem we all encounter at some point.
Home business professionals: we are a strong bunch. We’re smart, resourceful and most of us own our own business. We are also tenacious about figuring things out on our own.

At some point, though, there is a level of frustration with a task or project. Overcoming frustration can be a matter of perspective. Here are three tips when you’re ready to throw up your hands and give up:

1. Recognizing that we do, in fact, have limits of knowledge.
Oh I know, you can do it all. I get that. I’m not insulting your intelligence (or mine, for that matter). The fact is, we just can’t know it all. (Insert appalled look here.)

There are so many moving parts to any business, not to mention all the tools and technology it takes to KEEP it running. There’s email, handling paper, updating the website and using social media. It’s a lot to know, plus endeavoring to be the best service provider, widget maker or retail shop in your niche. No wonder we get frustrated!

If you’re nearing the fringes of your knowledge, consider getting help. This could involve hiring an assistant or consultant to help you get through this challenge. Put your ego aside for a bit and reach out to a fellow entrepreneur who has more knowledge than you and get it taken care of. There are a lot of talented people out there ready to help!

2. Take a break and get some perspective.

Ever been up late at night or working long hours on the weekend, only to find your frustration growing? Sometimes spending more time on a problem is not the answer. I’ve been completely overwhelmed by projects, feeling heavy in the stomach and blank in the head. That’s when it’s time to take a break: go for a walk outside, take the weekend off, put the laptop away or totally unplug for the rest of the afternoon. Sometimes a recharge or a quick nap will even allow your mind to work out a solution, almost unattended. Try it.

3. Rethink.

Frustration may also call for rethinking your entire situation. If you’ve got 15 email accounts to manage, you could rethink and consolidate down to two. An overloaded schedule? Try rethinking your priorities (try using the StartupNation Life Plan). Whatever your challenge, it surely has a solution if you only take a little time to think through it. Even better, schedule time with a trusted friend and chat about it over coffee or on a walk.

A client was having a hard time working in her home office. After talking with her, we crafted a plan to rework her space. This meant she had to purchase some furniture and other organizing products. A while later she remarked about a shift in her thinking about her office. She hadn’t given it the time and attention it deserved, and it had languished and caused frustration. The shift for her was giving her office a slight rework, and she fell back in love with it.

Whatever your frustration, there is a solution. Whether it’s time to reach out for help, rethink the situation or take some time off, you can figure it out. Recognize where you are at, buckle down and figure it out.

Earn More Than You Thought Was Possible.
written by Jiri Majkus.

Let´s talk about money. Everyone wants more, right? And I am going to tell you about three ways to earn it and keep earning more.
You owe it to yourself, your family and your society to earn more money. Good people are getting better when they are given a lot of money just as bad people become worse. Many people say that rich person is bad, that money is the root of evil. But this is another lie. Evil is root of evil. Money is just a piece of paper, and with money you can do a lot of good, helpful things.

I believe that you are a good person so I will reveal you these money earning secrets that have radically changed the way I look at money.

If you follow recommended strategies, you will earn an enormous amount of money. So here are three ways to earn money.

Trading time for money

The first way to earn money is by trading time for money. This way contains a lot of hard labor and in fact it is not really effective. Around 90% of population sticks with this paradigm. But they are making only 5% of all the wealth in the world. Maybe it sounds like crazy, but it is true.

“If I work hard, maybe someday I will get the good job.” This habit we have from youth and it is deeply stored in our minds. But the problem is that if I am a factory worker, office worker in large company, lawyer or doctor I am restricted to time and if I want to earn more I need to work more. This situation is not pleasant because day has only 24 hours and if I want to explode my income maybe I will not be capable to do that because THERE IS NO TIME.

You literally trade your life for money. What a terrible thing to trade life for. Also if you are working for someone else, you are limited in your results. You built someone else dreams not yours. There is always a limitation. Even thought there are many people who will tell you that there is some security in working for large company that could not be further from the truth. How many people do you know have been laid off or “reengineered” in the last 10 month? You see. The only security you have on this planet is within your own self.

Trading money for money

Next we have excellent way to earn money. This is where you are trading money to earn money, or investing. This is great strategy but in case that you have the money, skills and proper courage. In this way there is a big wins, big risk and also big loses. It is not very practical for average people.

If you concern in this strategy I would strongly recommend you to get help from person who really understand this topic. Not someone who has only external experiences, but from who is already using this method and he is successful in this strategy. Check his value, references, and results. When you do this check it again, just for sure.

Multiplying your time through MSI´s

This strategy is the best way to earn money. Approximately 1% of population uses this method and they make 95% of all money that is being earned. That is right; one percent of population earns over 95% of all the money. Don’t you want to know what they know? Wouldn’t be nice? If your answer is YES, let’s look at the most powerful strategy.

It is when you multiple your time by setting up multiple sources of income (MSI). This is when you leveraging your time through the efforts of other people and systems. You multiple your time, it is not how much you can do alone it is what you can do, systemize it and duplicate it. This is why it is so excited.

The great thing about this strategy is that you are not having only one source of income, you have MANY. You see, when you want to explode your income you cannot do it just by working more, you have to work smart. When you do this you will be absolutely blown away what happens when money comes to you from different sources. When you do it properly, you are able to achieve income that you may have never imagined before.

Take action now

Take action now by beginning to plan ahead, create a vision of exactly what you will do with the money when it comes and work on your personal development so you become a better person at the same time.

Pablo Picasso said that “Action is the foundational key to success.” Nothing happens only dreaming, there have to be an action.

Start doing and you will have whatever you want

Larry Recent Comment by Larry

Nick, You've commented on these methods of making money many times.  Many of us are exhausted doing the first (trading time for money) even though, in the short term, it seems productive. THAT is simply a one time opportunity.  The time is going after you work it . . . and the money is gone before you make it. The MSI is something we can work on gradually and the only time we fail at anything... Read more

How To Excite Prospects

In order to be highly successful you need to know what causes excitement with your prospects. It is important that you understand why people purchase products and services. When you or writing sales copy, emails and you want a powerful message look closely at the below list. This information was supplied by Dwayne Huggins.

You should know by now that copywriting is a skill that you should embrace. You should definitely not ignore it especially as you are an online marketer. It is your voice online.

The copywriting tips I am going to share with you today found me and I am so glad they did.

I would advise that you implement this tip into your copy as soon as possible.

I hope there is ink in your printer as you are going to need to print this.

26 Reasons Why People Buy | Copywriting Tip

To make money
To save money
To save time
To avoid effort
To get more comfort
To achieve greater cleanliness
To attain fuller health
To escape physical pain
To gain praise
To be popular
To attract to the opposite sex
To conserve possessions
To increase enjoyment
To gratify curiosity
To protect family
To be in-style
To have or hold possessions
To satisfy appetite
To emulate others
To avoid trouble
To avoid criticism
To be individual
To protect reputation
To take advantage of opportunities
To have safety
To make work easier

What To Do With This List | Copywriting Tip

This list was complied by Ed Mayor and when you real look at it he as hit the nail on the head with why people buy.

The copywriting tip I have for your today is how to use this list in your copy which will have money flowing into your bank account.

Print it out and place it near your computer screen.

When you sit down to write any sales copy or persuasive copy, consider the factors from the list which best suits why someone would buy your product, service or join you in business.

There will probably be more than one, but stick to 2-3 main key reasons.

As you write your copy, keep coming back to your 2-3 reason in your copy. Do this in different ways, but keep coming back to your chosen reason.

By doing this you keep pushing the readers ‘buying buttons’. Which will obviously increase the chance of you closing the deal.

Heart Health

The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not  cold water, maybe it is time we adopt  their  drinking  habit  while  eating.

For  those who like to drink cold water, this article is  applicable to you. It is very harmful to have Cold Drink/Water during a meal, because the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this ‘sludge’ reacts with the acid, it will  break down and be absorbed by  the  intestine  faster  than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon,  this will turn into fats and lead  to  cancer .  It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a  meal.

French fries and Burgers are the biggest enemy of heart health. A coke after that gives more power to this demon. Avoid them for your Heart’s Health.

Common  Symptoms Of Heart Attack…
A  serious note about heart attacks – You should know that not  every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.  Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You  may never have the first  chest  pain  during  the course of a heart attack.  Nausea  and  intense  sweating  are  also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack  while they are asleep do not wake up.  Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let’s be careful and be aware.  The more we know, the better chance we could survive.
